Year 8 pupils work together for Adventure Race afternoon

Posted In Academic, Creative

On Friday 11th May, Year 8 pupils had an Adventure Race afternoon organised by the Outdoor Learning team. The pupils were split into six teams to navigate around the School in order to locate challenge stations such as ‘the swamp’, ‘toxic waste’ and ‘the marble run’.

The race tested and developed both the pupils’ habits of learning and interpersonal skills such as teamwork, leadership and communication. Although every individual and every team did incredibly well at different points, Team 2 of Charlotte Ensor, Elliot Andrew, Madeleine Parrott, Sophie Lumsden, Joss Beauchamp and Carmelo Dougan Etoha were stand-out winners on the day.

Those pupils will be invited on stage at the Headmasters’ assembly to receive their prizes.
