Pupil stars in Kentish opera

Adam Cooper, a pupil in Year 8, is performing in two operas: Cavelleria Rustincana and Pagliacci. The two operas are well-known for their dramatic content and their ‘verismo’ which means ‘greater realism’.

Cavalleria Rusticana (Mascagni) and Pagliacci (Leoncavallo) are two short Italian operas that are frequently staged together. Adam will be playing an extra child in both operas but in Cavalleria Rusticana he is the lead Altar Boy and carries the cross during the Easter hymn.

The opera will be held at The Stag Theatre in Sevenoaks, from 25th-28th April.
