This October, Year 11 pupil, Katy Bradley, will be jumping out of an aeroplane after two years in the making.
Katy will be skydiving for the charity BEAT, as it represents a turning point in her recovery from an eating disorder.
BEAT is the UK’s leading eating disorder charity and campaigns for a positive change in the way they are perceived.
She said: “I know firsthand; and through the experiences of the amazing people I’ve met on my journey that eating disorders are incredibly lonely, scary and destructive. Without the exceptional support I’ve received from services, from friends and from school I don’t think I’d be here today.”
