Pupils reach UKMT Junior Maths Challenge regional finals

Two Year 8 and two Year 9 pupils represented Bethany School in the UKMT (United Kingdom Mathematics Trust) Junior Maths Challenge regional finals on Tuesday 26th February. Sam Dobson, Lily Fraser, Charlotte Ensor and Sophie Lumsden were just a small fraction of 300,000 other pupils who were also taking part in the competition that recognises high performers in Maths.

We are delighted with the team who moved up three places since last year, finishing in 20th place out of the other schools based in the UK.

Teacher of Mathematics, April Bridge, said: “Our pupils did so well to improve on their result from last year and they received many compliments for their friendliness to other teachers and students which really stood out.”
