Staff step up on World Hypertension Day

Posted In General

Following our recent success in winning the Wellbeing Award for Schools, our staff team wanted to raise awareness and support World Hypertension Day 2019, celebrated annually on 17th May.

Our senior school nurse Sister Steph offered all staff the opportunity to have their blood pressure checked with plenty of information leaflets and letters at the ready to signpost people to their GP if needed.

Also on hand was Jamie, our very own personal fitness instructor, giving staff the opportunity to stand on the Medical Centre’s newly acquired body composition scales.

This piece of kit gives a good idea of body fat percentage as well as hydration status and visceral fat etc.  The charts it produces are very inspirational – and motivating!
