Competition

Pupils have the opportunity to compete for the School in regular fixtures; not only in the major team games but also in individual or small team sports. We run a full and high-quality fixture list and regularly achieve success against much larger schools.

Our staff are specialists, teaching the sports that they are passionate about and offering professional-level coaching for pupils at the top of their game.

Elite Swimming Programme

Bethany run an elite swimming coaching programme for pupils who are competition swimmers and those who show potential in the pool. Under the coaching regime of ex-Olympian, Lisa Chapman, who competed for Great Britain at the Athens Olympics, pupils attend up to two hours coaching a week to improve their stroke technique, water fitness and race performance. Pupils have the option to swim before school and during lunchtimes too.

Opportunities

There is plenty of opportunity to attend one of our sports tours or skiing trips. In previous years we have taken trips to Malta, Holland, Valencia and Barcelona.

We are also proud supporters of the Tunbridge Wells Rugby Club.

“From a quiet, unsure and reserved boy, Jack has progressed through school to success in GCSEs, rugby tours and 1st XV rugby. His confidence has grown immeasurably, and we look forward positively to his next steps leaving home for university.”
