As we fast approach the end of term, school uniform may not be at the forefront of your mind. However school uniform shopping this year is going to be a little different to previous years.
Barsleys in Paddock Wood remains our school uniform supplier, however please do bear in mind that if you wish to visit Barsleys in person to shop for uniform, you will need to make an appointment. This is to enable the store to control numbers and avoid overcrowding.
Changing rooms will not be open in store and therefore items will need to be taken home to try for fit, then returned and exchanged if necessary. Any items that are returned to the store will be placed into quarantine for three days. You can make an appointment by phoning the shop directly on: 01892 833464.
If you would prefer, you can also purchase the full range of school uniform items online: www.barsleys.co.uk
As well as this, Friends of Bethany School (FOBS) run a second hand uniform shop which is based on the school site. If you would like an appointment to visit, please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org with your details and a time can be arranged.
The current advice that we have been given by the Boarding Schools Association suggests that blouses and shirts should be laundered daily, and trousers and skirts should be worn on rotation. Therefore we would recommend that when we return to school in September, all pupils have a minimum of two pairs of trousers / skirts, and enough blouses and shirts to allow for daily washing.
We would also ask that pupils have two Bethany sports t-shirts, two pairs of sports shorts / skorts, and two pairs of sports socks. We will be asking all pupils to take kit bags home at the end of each day in which they have had a sports lesson so that their kit can be washed.
