Pupils strike gold at Buckingham Palace

The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) held a Gold Award Presentation at the grounds of Buckingham Palace on Thursday 24th May to mark the achievements of our pupils and 3000 other young people who have achieved their Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.

Current and former pupils who attended the presentation were: Issy Altendorf, Hamzah Atta, Oliver Craggs, Oscar Guindi, Henry Kirk, George Knight, Samuel Marshall, Ella Porteous, Isobel Sherlock, Henry Sylow, Kudakwashe Thomas, Adam Thompson, Madeleine Todd, Oliver Tutt, Lucinda White, Joel Wise and David Williams.

Headmaster, Francie Healy, said: “We are absolutely delighted for all of those who have achieved this prestigious award. With a number of demanding elements including volunteering, physical and skills, the expedition and the residential, the Gold Award develops excellence in our learning habits: engage, persist, react, reflect and question and also broadens horizons, skills and friendships. Well done.”
