Project Horizon stirs emotions

Posted In Sixth Form

The weekly talks on interesting and relevant topics for the Lower Sixth got off to a rather emotional start, with a timely reminder about the dangers of driving. Powerful video footage and news clips alerted them to just how easy it is to be involved in an accident, either while driving or simply by being a passenger. This important message comes at a time when many of our pupils are sitting behind the wheel for the first time, and we hope that it will encourage them to make safe decisions as drivers.

The second talk, by a visiting Police Constable, allowed pupils to learn about their rights as members of the public, and also to hear advice of the risks that simply aren’t worth taking. The pupils were fully engaged, asked numerous questions and found the session most useful.
