Bethany School prepares for National Apprenticeships Week

Posted In Academic, Business

The world of apprenticeships is evolving at a fast pace and our pupils must appreciate the opportunity this alternative route provides them.

Next week is National Apprenticeship week 2019 and from Monday 4th March to Friday 8th March the Careers department will be getting our pupils enthusiastic about the world of Apprenticeships via tutor time activities, posters, badges and of course twitter!

To give you an idea of the opportunities out there The Higher and Degree Apprenticeship Listing showcases thousands of vacancies from various employers starting in 2019.

You can apply for these apprenticeships and a full time place at university at the same time. Higher and Degree apprenticeships are widening access to the professions bringing together the very best of higher and vocational education. Degree apprenticeships give you the opportunity to attain a degree or professional qualification from some of our best universities and providers whilst training in a top flight career.

Tuition fees are paid for by your employer and the government and you will be learning and earning a salary from day one. To view roles pupils are interested in, visit the gov.uk website. If pupils need further specialist career advice beyond the support that the Bethany Careers department offer, or even professional advice on making the right career choices, visit The National Careers Service.

Please do check out our VLE page for all things apprenticeships as well and the parental pack is excellent.
