I was born in West London and grew up in Grays, Essex where I attended a Convent School.  6th Form College wasn’t for me and I started my working life in an East German Freight Forwarding Company in Tilbury Docks a few weeks before my 18th Birthday. I went to work in London for a small Commodity Brokers as a back office and accounts assistant.  It’s also where I met my Husband, Patrick Donegan.

Investment Banking came next and I started as a secretary at Barclays de Zoete Wedd on the Equity Syndicate Desk – I had two amazing bosses who gave me the chance and the confidence to move up the ladder.  I finished my banking career at Commerzbank in 2005.  The long hours took its toll and didn’t work with two young children. After taking a year off I went on to open a Hair salon in Cranbrook and trained to be a hairdresser.  The salon is still going strong today and is run by my Sister-in-law and niece, I now take a background role doing the accounting and paperwork.  I also run a small property development company buying, developing and selling residential houses.

My two children JJ, 24 and Libby 20 attended Bethany and both did very well both academically and socially.  Patrick my Husband also attended Bethany along with his 3 brothers during the 70s and 80s.  I have real interest in children’s Mental health and hope my role as a Governor can aide in some way.

I play netball for a local team, love fashion and am currently working on my handbag and shoe collection.
