What do you do at Bethany?
I teach Geography to all Year Groups. In addition, I look after the Kendon boarders as their assistant housemaster.
What did you do before you came to Bethany?
I was completing my PGCE at Oxford University.
What is your favourite novel/music/artist/film and why?
Prisoners of Geography, which looks into why Geography impacts each decision a country makes. It links well into everyday news.
What is your favourite quotation and why?
‘Success doesn’t just find you. You have to go out and get it.’ This quote talks about how anyone can be successful. However, hard work is needed to get there.
What was your favourite subject at school and why?
Geography. This subject touches on every important aspect of the world today. From climate change to politics. To understand the world we live in today, everyone needs to be a Geographer.
Why do you like working at Bethany?
All the staff and pupils are very friendly. This creates a very safe and friendly atmosphere which is great to be part of.
What interests do you have outside Bethany?
I love watching and playing sport. During the summer I play a lot of cricket and in the winter, I am out playing rugby. In addition, I love travelling and discovering different places and cultures.
What is your favourite colour and why?
Blue, reminds me of clear seawater.
If you were not doing what you are doing now, what would you like to do?
I would be either coaching sport or running activity camps for children.
