Pen pal project forges new friendships

Pupils in Years 8 and 9  are working on a Pen Pal project with a school in Madrid called Norfolk School.

The photo below shows the pupils from Norfolk School who have received letters from pupils studying Spanish at Bethany.

Bethany pupils wrote in English, asking their pen pals about their lives, hobbies and interests, school life and favourite things such as food etc. They are now waiting for their Spanish pen pals to write in return and of course, they will be writing in Spanish.

Mr Garcia, Bethany’s Spanish teacher who set up the pen pal project, and the English teacher from the Norfolk School, believe this will a motivating and engaging way to encourage these young people to progress with their language learning and hopefully make some friends in the process.
