Leavers’ Ball marks the end of an era for Year 13 pupils

Posted In Sixth Form

On Friday 11th May, the Leavers’ Ball took place at the Spa Hotel in Tunbridge Wells. 116 pupils, their parents, support staff and teachers attended a memorable and enjoyable evening.

Doors opened at 7.15 pm, where pupils greeted each other with delight and had an opportunity to have professional photographs taken with their peers and family members. There were also photographs taken on the lawn of the hotel, which were posted on our Facebook and Twitter.

After a few words from the Headmaster, everyone sat down to enjoy a delicious variety of food, including smoked gammon and a slow roast rump of beef. The heads or tails game to win a hamper – kindly provided by Pluckey Farm shop – followed, which was won by Deputy Head of School, Lauren McQueen.

Once the tables had been cleared, the pupils danced the night away with even the teachers throwing some shapes! Our Year 13s still have their A-levels to complete, for which we wish them the best of luck and do hope they stay in touch when they officially leave the School. A big thank you to Simon Davies and Tim Hart Dyke for organising a fantastic event.
