Sixth Formers are encouraged to develop their leadership skills through diverse opportunities, including positions of responsibility in boarding and competitive houses, mentoring younger pupils and duties as school officials and prefects.

We provide training to help them fulfil these roles, including our Young Enterprise and Apprenticeship Challenge. By the time our Sixth Formers walk out of Bethany’s gates for the last time, they are confident, self-assured, well-rounded young men and women, ready to embrace the challenges that lie ahead.

Bethany wouldn’t be able to provide the level of care and support to each of its pupils without our dedicated Prefect team on-hand to help.

Ever-present at School events, the Prefects serve as the friendly faces to staff and parents, but also work closely with staff to ensure that every child in the School is well looked after. Our Prefects help by keeping an eye on the younger pupils, looking out for them, encouraging good behaviour and being generally reliable role models throughout the School.

Bethany's prefects are there to support pupils of all ages.

“We chose Bethany because of the broad curriculum and the friendly, supportive ethos, and we have not once regretted our decision; Sean flourished at Bethany. Being appointed Head of School was a particular thrill and we have seen his confidence really grow.  Thank you for putting your faith in him.
Sean is currently getting ready to start his studies at Rycotewood Furniture Centre and is hugely excited, although we are sure he’ll miss Bethany. Thank you again for everything the School has done for Sean – we are very grateful.”
