On Thursday 14th March, Bethany School hosted eight local primary schools from across Kent to a classical concert performed by Kidenza. Kidenza introduces children to fun, classical music in a hope that they will be inspired to pick up an instrument and perhaps join a band or orchestra.
Kidenza explained each section of the orchestra to the audience: strings, woodwinds, percussion and strings. Then each member of the group played a short tune to demonstrate what their instrument sounded like. There was one mischievous member of the orchestra that kept interrupting that had the audience in stitches.
Re-written especially for Kidenza, the orchestra then performed ‘Peter and the Timber Wolf’, a twist on the age-old classic ‘Peter and the Wolf’.
