£60,000 to £66,000 + Benefits

Being Bursar and Chief Financial Officer at Bethany isn’t just a job – it’s a lifestyle which will involve you in all aspects of school life acting as the number two to our Headmaster.

We will look to you to take a unique school and registered charity to the next level as you act as our Chief Financial Officer and Clerk to the Governors. Keeping us on a firm financial footing, you will transform our service provision and develop a far-reaching business plan whilst overseeing everything from accounting to estate and facilities management, IT, procurement, general administration, marketing and catering. In addition, you will also control compliance and risk management, data security, liaison with educational bodies and the Charity Commission. Excellent people management skills will be essential as this role will also take on overall responsibility for most of our support staff.

Needless to say, we’re looking for the best. Tenacious, indefatigable and determined to make your mark, you will need to be financially literate, highly analytical in your thinking and be able to demonstrate success in previous senior management positions. As a key member within our Senior Management Team, you will need confidence to take far-reaching decisions, the drive and determination to deliver real change, and a genuine enjoyment of wide responsibilities.
