On Tuesday 9th October, Year 8 pupils were treated to a Jaws ‘n’ Claws workshop. This tied in closely with the Tropical Rainforests topic they have been studying this term, and in particular how animals adapt to their unique climates. This practical workshop gave pupils the opportunity to handle a range of animals from habitats all over the world.
These included Madagascan hissing cockroaches, giant African land snails, tortoises and a tenrec amongst many others. Pupils also had the chance to see a range of snakes, scorpions and a tegu up close. A special workshop took place for some of our Year 11s as a reward for their hard work this term.
