What do you do at Bethany?
I am the Accounts Manager and I report to the Bursar. I have joint responsibility for all financial related matters.
What did you do before you came to Bethany?
Earlier in my career, I worked in Fund Administration in Jersey and in the Private Equity sector in London. For the past number of years, I have taken time out to look after my young family.
What is your favourite film and why?
I love a trip to the cinema and enjoy high adrenaline action-packed films. I never tire of the Bond & Bourne films.
What is your favourite quotation and why?
‘Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference’ – Winston Churchill. It’s such a positive statement.
What was your favourite subject at school and why?
Business. I loved this subject as soon as I came across it in secondary school.
Why do you like working at Bethany?
Bethany is located in a beautiful part of the countryside. The school is renowned for its pastoral care and I see evidence of this every day. The teaching and support staff work tirelessly to bring out the best in pupils.
What interests do you have outside Bethany?
I enjoy spending time with my family. We live close to the Pantiles in Tunbridge Wells. At the weekend we often go for a wander on the Common and up to Wellington Rocks. I like going to the cinema with friends and keeping up to date with Current Affairs.
What is your favourite childhood memory?
Playing out in the fields with my siblings during the long summer holidays.
If you were not doing what you are doing now, what would you like to do?
I’m content with my lot at the moment.
