What do you do at Bethany?
I am the Head of Music for Bethany, so it’s my job to make sure all pupils have the most enjoyable and fun Music lessons possible!

What did you do before you came to Bethany?
Before arriving at Bethany I was a teacher of Music and Music Technology in a school in Devon for a number of years.

What is your favourite novel/music/artist/film and why?
In terms of Music I’m slightly obliged to say that my taste is extremely varied, but I’m a rock musician at the core of everything I do. Green Day and Foo Fighters are my favourite bands – They taught me how to be a real drummer!

For movies, anything sci-fi/really nerdy. Anything relating to Star Wars or Marvel makes me happy.

What was your favourite subject at School and why?
It would be a bit weird if I didn’t put Music here… so Music.

Why do you like working at Bethany?
There seems to be a real community feel here and everyone is extremely friendly. I’ve never worked anywhere where other staff and students take such an interest in what I’m doing!

What interests do you have outside Bethany?
I have spent the past few years drumming for an indie rock band which has opened up so many amazing opportunities for me such as playing gigs for BBC Introducing as part of the buzz around Radio 1’s Big Weekend and also a UK tour in 2016.

What is your favourite colour and why?
This changes all the time. It’s currently Red. No idea why.

If you were not doing what you are doing now, what would you like to do?
