What do you do at Bethany?
I am the Head of Geography and a Sixth Form tutor.
What did you do before you came to Bethany?
I taught Geography at a local state school.
What is your favourite quotation and why?
Be the change that you wish to see in the world. – Mahatma Gandhi. This reminds me that change won’t just happen and that individuals must work hard to achieve change and reach their goals.
Why do you like working at Bethany?
The staff are very friendly and the small community means it is easy to get to know everyone. The setting of the school is beautiful; I have a great view out of my classroom window of the surrounding countryside.
What interests do you have outside Bethany?
I particularly enjoy pilates and swimming at my local gym. I also love cooking, reading, walking, gardening and DIY. I love to travel abroad and have visited places in China, Iceland, USA, Russia and Dubai.
What is your favourite childhood memory?
There are so many to choose from but the night my baby brother was born was very special and life changing!
Who is your hero and why?
My dad was a Geography teacher for over 30 years and he inspired my love of Geography and teaching.
