What do you do at Bethany?
I teach Geography, tutor Year 7 and 8 and I am the Assistant Housemaster in Kendon.
What did you do before you came to Bethany?
I have worked in two schools before coming to Bethany. I have taught Geography for 10 years as well as run a Duke of Edinburgh Award unit for six years.
What is your favourite novel/music/artist/film and why?
Chariots of fire – I like true stories.
What is your favourite quotation and why?
“Fear looks, faith leaps.” – Smith Wigglesworth. It reminds us to step out of our comfort zone and go for things in life.
What was your favourite subject at School and why?
Geography closely followed by History. They both help to understand the world we live in.
Why do you like working at Bethany?
I like being part of a small community which places value on a full and well-rounded education. The surroundings are also amazing.
What interests do you have outside Bethany?
I like walking and hiking as well as travelling.
What is your favourite childhood memory?
Trying to row across the channel in an old bathtub.
What is your favourite colour and why?
Blue and I don’t know why!
If you were not doing what you are doing now, what would you like to do?
Probably going for a walk as there is still daylight at this time of year.
