DLS Christmas Ideas

Posted In Dyslexia and Learning Support

The Christmas break is a good time to clear out the school bags and check what equipment has survived (or not survived) the first term – pens, pencils, rubbers, ruler, colouring pens or pencils could become quick fix stocking stuffers.  Other helpful items to go in stockings could include a set of headphones, fidgets, a keyboard for the iPad, a memory stick and a subscription to AQUILA magazine – see below.

There is a great deal of assistive tech now on the market, which can be found over on Undersood’s Tech finder. This certainly worth a look and if you find something amazing, please let us know so that we can look into integrating into School.

IEP (Individual Education Plans) reviews are heading your way, so please contact your child’s DLS teacher to suggest new targets as soon as you can so we have time to add them in.

The pupils in Year 7, 8 and 9 have been working hard on their disaster project. The winners will be announced in first assembly in January.

Happy December from the DLS Department!
