Computer scientists top national contest

Posted In Academic

Bethany’s Computer Science pupils recently took part in the Beaver Challenge, which put the cohort’s ‘computational thinking’ skills to the test. We’re pleased to announce that not only did many of our pupils score highly, six scored with the top 10% nationally!

Well done to Frances Lye, Year 7, Emma Martin, Year 8, Sebastian Smith, Year 9, Luke Urquhart, Year 10, Marcus Hobson, Year 11, Ren Miyoshi, Year 12 and William Cunningham, Year 13 who all got top in their Year Group.

Special congratulations go to Luke in Year 10, whose score of 138 put him at the top of the school. Merits and certificates are on their way.
