A team of Bethany School’s Business pupils have made the semi-finals in the Student Investor Challenge, a national competition operated by The London Institute of Banking & Finance in which teams compete to make the greatest returns on an imaginary investment. James Nightingale, Joseph Bennett, Jack Brown and Joseph Rourke formed The Cotton Traders, and with some savvy spending ranked 391 out of more than 4000 teams.
To up the ante, Mr Duff and Mr Khan also set up a team, and can breathe a sigh of relief as they too entered the semi-finals, ranking an impressive 176.
The next round will see the teams tapping into their foresight, by predicting share prices week-on-week. We look forward to sharing their results!
