Bethany ‘Wears it Pink’ for Breast Cancer

Posted In Charity

On Friday 19th October, Bethany School marked Wear it Pink day for breast cancer research charity Breast Cancer Now. Pupils were invited to wear an item of pink clothing such as a scarf, shirt or socks and make a donation of £2 to fund the UK’s leading breast cancer research charity.

Mrs Sturrock’s tutor group also had the brilliant idea of organising a pink-inspired cake sale open to all pupils and staff at break and lunch. They did a fantastic job, baking all the cakes themselves and raising an incredible £153.32 for Breast Cancer Now.

In total Bethany School raised £410.16 which is a brilliant result considering this is the first event of this kind held at the School. Thank you to all pupils and staff for taking part and donating to a great cause.
