Bethany in Europe: visits to Belgium and France

Posted In Alumni, General, Overseas

From Thursday 3rd May – Saturday 5th May 2018, the Headmaster visited Belgium as part of an initiative to extend Bethany’s networks in Europe. The visit included meetings with the British Junior Academy of Brussels and Ecole Européenne Bruxelles – Argenteuil in Brussels, the International School Ghent, as well as current and former Bethany parents and other friends of the School.

The trip culminated in a visit to Oostduinkerke and lunch with Mr and Mrs Tack, who sent all five of their children to Bethany for their secondary education and Mr and Mrs Ringoot, who own and run the only private boarding school in Belgium, Leerwijzer School.

This week, Director of External Relations, Fiona Jones, visited Paris. On Wednesday 9th May – fittingly, this was also Europe Day – the School attended an event hosted by one of our overseas representatives, speaking with prospective pupils and their families. We were also delighted to have the opportunity to meet up with alumnus Robert Fenech, who left Bethany in 1990 and now lives in Paris with his family.

These visits are an important opportunity to promote Bethany School to prospective pupils and their families, as well as a chance to connect with our many friends around the world. A visit to Spain is planned for the end of May and further overseas engagements are in the diary for the remainder of the calendar year.
