Pupils in Year 10 and 12 went to the Apprenticeship Show on Tuesday 20th March to get a taste of what life is like after Sixth Form. A wide range of companies, including those within the media, business and engineering sectors, were showing what they had to offer.
The National Apprenticeship Show is dedicated to providing young people with more information regarding their future; the pupils certainly made the most of it, talking with industry professionals and those involved with apprenticeship schemes.
Jacob Thompson, Year 10 pupil, said: “This helped me make some choices for the Sixth Form because at Bethany I can do the subjects I really want to do, and then go into the career I want. I’m not sure I could do those A level choices in other schools so today was really useful.”
Many of the exhibitors gave interactive presentations enabling pupils to experience areas of work they may not have considered. This provision is part of Bethany School’s careers programme, which aims to provide expert advice and guidance to our young people as they prepare for the future.
