Bethany welcomes former pupils for 1990s Reunion

On the afternoon of Saturday 22nd September, following a highly successful Open Morning with prospective families visiting the School to discover all that Bethany can offer, the Headmaster was delighted to host over 50 former pupils and staff from the 1990s, who visited for a reunion and a walk down memory lane!

Thanks to alumni Richard Skudder, Daniel Jude and Tom Trueman, all of whom studied at Bethany during the decade, 1990s alumni gathered for an afternoon which included a BBQ – with thanks to Friends of Bethany School (FOBS) – tours of the School with current Sixth Form pupils, and an exhibition of memorabilia from the School’s Archives.

Tom Trueman said: “It was a great event! I really enjoyed catching up with old friends and the event has acted as a catalyst for some of us to meet up again having found we live very close to each other.”

The autumnal weather didn’t dampen spirits and many alumni brought their families with them to show them the School and take a tour.

Headmaster, Francie Healy, said: “It was a privilege to see so many former pupils and colleagues visiting for the reunion, and wonderful to hear that Bethany still holds a special place in so many hearts. Many expressed how impressed they were at how much the School has grown and developed since their time here, and we are hugely grateful for their continued support.”
