The Gravity Kart competition is a new addition to the list of inter-house competitions and pupils from across the year groups have been working enthusiastically in the DT workshop on their designs since Easter.
The competition was in three parts; best design, longest distance covered and points for number of participants from each house. There were nine karts in all and Kiplings had the most participants, followed by Roberts and then Speakers.
The best designed kart was won by a Kiplings team with Speakers in second place, followed by Roberts.

The longest distance covered was 31 m 24 cm by a Year 7 pupil representing Kiplings. with a Sixth Former in second place with a distance of 27 m 68 cm.

The event will definitely become a regular inter-house fixture and some of the boys have already begun thinking about designs for next year.
