On 4^th March we carried out a joint exercise with Marden Fire Brigade simulating a fire in The Orchard during evening prep time.  Four students and the Housemistress were simulated casualties, although they were treated for real.

They had all been superbly and realistically made up by a prosethic make up artist.  Fire engines from Cranbrook, Headcorn and Brenchley also attended and the exercise proved very realistic.



Several useful lessons were learned by the Fire Brigade and the School and these will be implemented in our procedures.  It is hoped that similar exercises will take in other boarding houses in the future.
