Guest judge Alan Irvin with some of the young chefs

Chef School's summer heat took place on 20th May.  The brief for the young chefs was to prepare a dish for a celebratory meal for a brother or sister who has just passed their driving test.

This term's guest judge was Alan Irvin, Head Chef at 'The Mulberry Tree' restaurant in Boughton Monchelsea which opened last summer.  Alan is formerly from 'Chapter One' in Bromley.

All the students worked conscientiously to create a dish that reflected the brief they had been given.  Alan was very impressed with the standard of the dishes produced and the students' enthusiasm in the kitchen and we are very grateful to him for giving up his time to come and judge the heat.
