Sixth Form Art trip to Paris - February 2008

 

Twenty five members of the Sixth Form who are studying Art and Design, Textiles or Photography or a combination of the three spent four nights in Paris over the Half Term break accompanied by Mrs Kelly, Miss Rayner and Mr and Mrs Norgrove.

A busy itinerary saw the group enjoy several gallery visits as well as a number of sightseeing trips. These included The Musee d’Orsay, the Marmottan, the Musee Picasso, the Pompidou Centre, the Musee des Arts Decoratifs, the Galliera, Montmartre, the Sacre Coeur and Versailles. A trip to the top of the Eiffel Tower proved a great photo opportunity for some while others preferred the more relaxing experience of a river cruise along the Seine to Notre Dame.

 

The trip was enjoyed by all and the resources gathered will prove of great benefit to the coursework projects based on Paris in which these pupils have been involved this term.
