The Society was saddened to learn that Christian Lanzer, Headmaster at Bethany from 1970-88, passed away on Thursday, 14th January 2010, aged 85. Christian, who some of you will have enjoyed seeing at last year's Reunion Day or at the Annual Dinner, had recently become too frail to live on his own and had moved into a care home in Wimbledon to be near his extended family.
Paul Holmes has written a tribute to Christian which can be read on the Home page of this website, under latest news. A memorial service will be held in the Chapel at Bethany at 2.30 pm on Saturday, 15th May. This will be followed by a tea. In order to assist with catering it would be helpful if you could let Alicia Houghton, at Bethany, know if you are planning to attend.
